Made-to-measure honeycomb pleated blinds - blackout and thermal insulation
A honeycomb pleated blind differs from a standard pleated blind mainly in the way the fabric is made. It consists of two joined layers that form honeycomb-shaped cells. The air between the layers acts as an additional insulating barrier at the window.
Each blind is made to your measurements, allowing it to fit the individual window precisely. You choose the width, height, colour and whether the blind is fitted with or without drilling.
When should you choose a honeycomb pleated blind?
This fabric construction helps to reduce heat build-up indoors during summer and heat loss during the colder months. Honeycomb blinds are therefore particularly suitable for rooms that receive a lot of direct sunlight.
The fabric itself provides 100% blackout, meaning light cannot pass through it. The overall level of darkness in the room also depends on how closely the blind fits the window and the chosen fitting method. A small amount of light may still enter around the edges.
This option is particularly well suited to bedrooms and children's rooms. It can also help to reduce screen glare in a living room or home office. On street-facing windows, the blind provides additional privacy.

With or without drilling - which fitting should you choose?
A screw-fixed installation keeps the blind secure and close to the glass. It requires several small holes in the window sash, so this option is suitable where drilling into the window is permitted.
For a no-drill fitting, the blind can be attached to the window sash using clip-on brackets. This is a practical option for rented homes and anywhere you do not want to make holes in the window.
Choose the fitting method before measuring. The points from which the width and height are measured vary depending on the type of fitting.
How to measure your blind correctly
Before measuring, follow the instructions for your chosen fitting method. Measure the width and height at the indicated points, then enter the measurements in the product configurator.
Honeycomb pleated blinds are available in widths from 30 to 130 cm and heights from 40 to 230 cm. They can be fitted to standard windows, larger windows and many balcony doors.
Check the colour before ordering
There are six colours to choose from: white-grey, grey, beige, ivory, brown and steel grey. The colour shown on screen may differ from the actual appearance of the fabric due to your display settings and the lighting in the room.
If you are unsure, order a fabric sample and check it next to the window. It is best to compare the colour in daylight and again in the evening.
