A day and night blind, also known as a zebra blind, consists of fabric arranged in two parallel layers. Each layer features alternating transparent stripes and stripes made from more densely woven fabric. By moving the fabric, you change the position of the stripes in relation to each other and regulate the amount of light entering the room.

When the transparent stripes overlap, more daylight enters the interior. When the densely woven stripes overlap the transparent sections, the blind provides greater shade and privacy. This allows you to adjust the light without fully raising the blind and exposing the entire window.

Do day and night blinds darken a room?
